37-year-old Vitaly Meshkov from Moscow will take charge of his 22nd Zenit match in his career.

The Moscovite will be assisted by Igor Demeshko and Nail Seyfetdinov on the sidelines, with Jan Bobrovsky as the fourth official. VAR will also be in operation and will be led by referee Aleksey Matyunin, with Tikhon Kalugin as the VAR assistant.

In the 22 games which Meshkov has refereed Zenit, the blue-white-sky-blues have come out victorious on 14 occasions, drawing three games and losing four. Meshkov’s last Zenit game came 1 December 2019 in the 1-0 victory at home to Spartak Moscow in the league. 

The match against Orenburg will be held at the Gazprom Arena July 15th with limited spectators. The game is set to kick off at 20:30 (SPB time) and will be shown live on Match TV & Match Premier in Russia as well as on the Russian Premier Liga's YouTube channel for international fans.
