Mikhail Kerzhakov was born on 28 January 1987 in Kingisepp. Mikhail has been in and around the Zenit first team since 2004 and has twice won the RPL league title and the Russian Cup.

From 2008 to 2011, he played for Sportakademklub, Volga and Alania Vladikavkaz on loan, before making permanent moves to Nizhny Novgorod and Anzhi. 

In 2015 he rejoined Zenit and in total has played 38 matches for the club, including the final of the 2020 Russian Cup.
