Akhmat 2-2 Zenit: A point taken in Chechnya
Sergei Semak's men came away with a draw in the 15th match of the RPL season.
After the break, Zenit once again took the lead, Dejan Lovren with another towering header from a set-piece on 48 minutes, but the lead only lasted five minutes, a controversial VAR decision giving a penalty for the hosts after what appeared to be an innocuous challenge in the air by Chistyakov. Berisha converted the spot-kick with a Panenka and the Chechens were once again level.
Malcom made his return as a substitute and Stanislav Krapukhin came on towards the end for his first-team debut, but the blue-white sky blues were unable to find a thrid goal and had to be satisfied with just a point.
Next up for Zenit is Lazio in the UEFA Champions League in Rome on Tuesday 24 November.
