The Gazprom Arena hosted a press conference to celebrate the countdown to Euro 2020.

Alexei Sorokin, head of the organising committee of the European Championship in St. Petersburg, Anton Shantyr, chairman of the local government committee for physical culture and football commentator Gennady Orlov, Zenit manager Sergei Semak and club captain Dejan Lovren. 

On 7 April UEFA will announce its decision if it will allow supporters into the stadium, hosting cities have until 28 April to announce their stadium limits. 

Alexei Sorokin told the awaiting audience: "This is the second time we're celebrating 100 days until the Euros!" Before going on to discuss the amount of fans allowed into the stadium: "Today the minimum expected is 50% of the total capacity of the arena, but the question of foreign fans is still outstanding, but this is not within the powers of the organising committee."

The European Championship will be held in 12 cities across Europe from 11 June to 11 July 2021. The Gazprom Arena will host three group stage matches and a quarterfinal.
