The event was attended by the vice-governor of St. Petersburg Boris Piotrovsky, the general director of the Euro 2020 organising committee in St. Petersburg Alexei Sorokin, Zenit legend Andrei Arshavin, opera singer Vasily Gerello and actor Konstantin Khabensky.

Boris Piotrovsky said: "We are very optimistic before the start of the tournament and we'll have at least 50% of the stadium full, well that is the amount approved for today. What will happen next, we'll see."

As part of the official event, a miniature copy of the Gazprom Arena built by Gazprom Academy players and charity volunteers was presented to the media. The small stadium weighs 15 kilograms and its roof is retractable, just like the real thing!
