Aleksey Sutormin: "Everyone wants to win, and this was no exception"

Aleksey, for Zenit this match was quite meaningless, how did you get ready for the game?

Everyone wants to win, and this was no exception, so today we went out to get a win and are sad we didn’t get it.

Was it a difficult match, did the pitch affect it?

We missed the penalty, and to be fair to Ufa, they defended well and were tight at the back, they did not give us any free space. We had our chances but didn’t take them. Things didn’t go our way and that resulted in the draw.

You started with an experimental starting lineup, how long did it take to get used to each other?

No, we had prepared for this. We all know each other and know what each other can do and how to get the best out of each other.

You’ve been competing with Karavaev for a place in the starting XI but today both of you played on the right, how comfortable are you with each other?

We’re comfortable playing together and have no problems. Slava and I can replace each other, and we have a good mutual understanding, so everything is fine.
