The Zenit Metro station is officially open!

The Zenit St. Petersburg metro station, situated right next to the Gazprom Arena is now officially open.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of local VIPs including the vice-governors of St. Petersburg Maxim Sokolov and Boris Piotrovsky, as well as Zenit legend Konstantin Zyryanov.

The station's interior is decorated in blue-white-sky blue colours with the added decoration of large copies of Zenit's domestic trophies including the 1944 USSR Cup, the Russian Premier League old and new trophies, the Russian Super Cup and others.

The Zenit metro station will be open every day during the European Championships.

Euro 2020 will be held from 11 June to 11 July 2021 and Russia, Belgium, Finland, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden, as well as a quarterfinal will be held at the Gazprom Arena.
