Sergei Semak: "Krychowiak adds both quality and skill to Krasnodar"

The start of the season with three away matches is done, how do you feel now the first home game of the season is upon us?

The same as with any other official game, our fixture list is not easy and we’ve missed playing at home. We can’t wait to play at home for the first time this season.

You said Yaroslav Raktsitskiy came off in the last match with Rostov due to injury. How is he now?

We will see. He is partially training with the general group and I hope that nothing serious will happen. He is preparing for the match.

What threats to Krasnodar pose and how will the arrival of Krychowiak change Viktor Goncharenko's team?

I think he adds both quality and skill, plus Krychowiak always performs and has leadership qualities. He is a player who strengthens any Premier League team. Krasnodar have changed since the arrival of Viktor Goncharenko. They are a team that focuses on passing and attacking, we saw in our last match against them how they play their game. A very tough match against a good side is ahead of us.

What happened to them against Khimki?

They had a very good chance at the start of the game and could have scored, plus they missed a penalty. Khimki are a good team that will cause a few more upsets this season, that's for sure. Games like that happen and it’s not a disaster for Krasnodar, it’s a long season and I think  the league table won’t take its final form until nearer the end of the season and we’ll only see who are the title challengers nearer for the winter break.

What do you think about the postponement of the sixth round of matches? If it does happen, you’ll have a few days less to prepare for the match with CSKA Moscow.

We have been contacted about this and I gave them my opinion on this subject. If it is just a day or two, then it’s not terrible for us, as we are used to having such a fixture list. Any other change is not good for us.

Malcom is not playing very much at the Olympics, but has also reached the final. How do you feel about this? Would you like him to play more? Or will he arrive back fresher?

Malcom has played every match so that's good, the amount of minutes he gets in each match is up to the Brazilian manager. The main thing for us is he arrives back fit as we need every player available now.

Driussi left a week ago and you have a space for a foreign player, how are things progressing with this?

I don’t know, we have no news about this yet.
