Sergey Semak: "The conceded goals were the result of a number of mistakes"

Will Rakitskiy be available to play against Juventus?

I do not know yet. Now we’ll go back to St. Petersburg and review his condition and see how he is.

Why did you decide to play three central defenders without Rakitskiy?

Because, unfortunately, we’re conceding a lot and need to focus more on our defence. Plus we’ve some injuries in defence and others are not in peak shape. That’s why we went for this option.

What caused the first conceded goal? How could it have been avoided?

A lot of things could have been done. The conceded goals were the result of a chain of mistakes. Sutormin lost the player and Chistyakov did not need to go to him and should have been deeper to block the pass to Davitashvili.

If you had an alternative option in attack, would you have kept Dzyuba on the pitch until the end or would you have changed him?

It all depends on how the match is going and what opportunities there are. We have to understand the strengths of the players we’ve got. There are those who are used to playing in space and those who find it easier to play with limited space. So it all depends on who is available. But there was no one, so there was no option.
