Wilmar Barrios signs a contract extension with the club

The Colombian midfielder has extended his contract with the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Wilmar Enrique Barrios Teran was born on 16 October 1993 in Cartagena, Colombia. He began his career at  Deportes Tolima, making his debut in February 2013 and a year and a half later he lifted the Colombia Cup. The midfielder played 106 matches in total for his first club and scored 3 goals. 

In the summer of 2015, Barrios moved to Boca Juniors in Argentina and while in Buenos Aires he twice won the Argentinian title (season 2016/17 and 2017/18) and reached the final of the Copa Libertadores in 2018. Wilmar played 66 matches for the South American giants and scored one goal. 

In February 2019, Wilmar joined us in St. Petersburg and in his two and a half seasons here he has played 92 matches, scored two goals and made three assists. He’s also won the Russian Premier League title three times, the Super Cup twice and the Russian Cup once.
