Congratulations on the win! What was the game like, especially as you came on as an early sub, replacing an injured Douglas Santos?
Thanks a lot! To be honest, it was difficult to go out there as I didn’t have the chance to warm up. It was hard and a little nervy at the start. Spartak are a very good team and it's great that we won today by such a large score. It is sad that we conceded, but we will work on that.
7-1 is an amazing victory and a new record league defeat for Spartak. How can you explain such a scoreline from the Zenit point of view?
I don’t know, I think that we managed to score almost every chance we created, unlike the match with Juventus. We took the game to Spartak and scored seven, but we could have scored even more. It's good that we got the most out of every attack.
Could it have been more?
Maybe, I could have shot a couple of times, once I didn’t quite get in the right position for the ball that came from Yaroslav Rakitskiy. We'll work on our finishing (laughs).
