The assistant referees will be fellow Latvians Haralds Gudermanis and Aleksejs Spasjoņņikovs, VAR will be operated by João Pinheiro from Portugal and Delajod Willy from France and the fourth official will be Aleksandrs Golubevs from Latvia.

The will be the first time Zenit have had a referee from Latvia, although Treimanis did take charge of Spartak Moscow's 2-0 defeat to Villarreal in the group stage of the Europa League in 2018.

The match against Malmö will take place on Tuesday 23 November and will kick off at 23:00 St. Petersburg time.
