Zenit's Dogs are Better at Home campaign makes headlines around the world!

In an attempt to highlight the plight of dogs living in local dog shelters the players came onto the pitch before our game with Rostov accompanied by puppies looking for new homes.
Zenit's Dogs are Better at Home campaign makes headlines around the world!
To mark World Pet Day on 30 November we asked our players to tell us about their own four-legged friends for Zenit-TV's videoblog

This got us thinking, and with the help of the Russian Kynological Federation we partnered with a number of local dog shelters with the aim of highlighting the number of dogs looking for a new home.

The following shelters all signed up and agreed to help us in the project:  RzhevkaFriendVsevolozhsky DogHelpDog SPb - Help for pitbulls and staffs and  Husky Help.

The team took to the pitch accompanied by dogs looking for new homes and our starting XI was announced alongside the profiles of the dogs accompanying the players.
