We pay our respects to the victims of the Siege of Leningrad

Players, coaches, staff and supporters attended the memorial to the horrors of those years located at 14 Nevsky Prospect earlier today to mark the anniversary. The clubs’ delegation laid flowers and held a minute's silence to remember those who fell during the 872-day blockade.

The memorial reads "Citizens! During artillery fire this side of the street is more dangerous”. It is a reproduction of the signs painted on the walls of our city during those terrible years and reminds us of the suffering endured, and the heroism displayed, by the residents of Leningrad between 1941 and 1944.

Zenit Football Club remember and thank all those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can today live in the best city in the world.
