Yuri Alberto is a Zenit player!

Zenit and Internacional have reached an agreement on the transfer of the forward to St. Petersburg with the Brazilian signing a five-year contract.

Yuri Alberto Monteiro da Silva was born on 18 March 2001 in São José dos Campos, in São Paulo State. At the age of 13 he joined the Santos Academy and when he was 15 set new records in both the Zico Cup with nine goals in six matches and in the São Paulo Under-15 Championship 32 goals in 26 matches.

Yuri Alberto won the South American Under-17 Football Championship with Brazil in 2017 and was also part of the Brazil team that came third at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

He scored his first goal for Santos in the Sao Paulo state championship in March 2018 before making the move to Internacional in 2020. While there he played 85 matches, scored 30 goals and made 5 assists. He finished the 2021 season as the third top scorer in the Brazilian championship with 12 goals. 

The UK football magazine Four Four Two ranked Yuri Alberto as one of the 22 most talented players in the world under the age of 22.
