Aleksey Sutormin: “Having a clean sheet with any opponent is good and Lokomotiv are no exception”

The Zenit utilityman’s words on the victory over Lokomotiv.

“I think what wasn’t very successful is that we couldn’t score. We were creating chances, but weren’t able to execute them. Then in the chances we created we finally were able to score. It means we have something to work on.”
Was there some kind of a conversation during halftime that you needed to change something, or were you just told to keep going?
“I guess we had to be a little more serious about the chances we had and to not give Lokomotiv make dangerous opportunities at our goal. There were moments when they could have scored, but on our part Daniil played well. We needed to minimize those chances.”
Is having a clean sheet against such an opponent a special bonus?
“I think having a clean sheet against any opponent is good and Lokomotiv are no exception. I hope in the future we’ll be able to keep this result, it’s our job.”
How is your leg? There was an unpleasant moment...
“Yeah, it’s better now, I would say there’s nothing too serious, probably just a bruise. It’s fine for now, and we have a day off tomorrow, I think it’ll heal.”
