The match was rather difficult as we expected and it kept us in suspense until the final minutes. I’m happy with the quality of the game today, we played well in defence and scored two goals. The score shows a confident win, however it was a tough game. Dynamo have strengthened well and have a squad that is very good. We’ve had some difficult matches here in recent years We’ve lost 0-1 and drawn 1-1, but this year we got a well-deserved win so I congratulate our players and supporters.
This afternoon CSKA lost and you’ve just beat Dynamo. Is the title race over?
Our task is to do our job. You have no idea how much effort the players and coaches spend preparing for every match. Now we’re only four points above second place and we’ve another 20 matches ahead of us, so absolutely anything can happen, any team that has a good run can come after us, so if we make one or two mistakes, as at the beginning of the season when we lost points, everyone immediately started talking, there is still a lot of football to play, I already said that the most consist team will be top. There will be bad runs and defeats for every team. We want to keep these to a minimum, but that's not always possible. Our aim is to do as well as possible, to not drop points, and for the guys to stay fit.
How worried are you that your forwards aren’t scoring, especially Cassierra?
It doesn't worry me at all. It might be a worry for the guys mentally, for their confidence goals help. But the way they are both playing is absolutely fine for me. I’m happy if the team wins and our forwards work for the team without scoring. Both Sergeev and Cassierra will score their goals, I am absolutely certain of it. The desire and the quality of their game is there and I’m totally happy.
