Aleksandr Erokhin: "My son was a mascot and came out onto the pitch with me for the first time. So it was extra special"

Congratulations on the win and the goal, could you give us a few words about the game?

Thanks a lot! Today was a friendly with a good team that are in European competition this season and top of their league by some distance. This game helped us prepare for the upcoming Cup match with Spartak. Now we’re only thinking about that.

How did you get ready for the game, was a win important or was it just a warm up for Sunday's game?

We go for a win in every match, friendly or official, and especially at home with our fans. There were a lot of supporters today, so thanks to them for such support in a friendly match.

Today was extra special for you, can you tell us why?

Today, my son was a mascot and came out onto the pitch with me for the first time. So it was extra special. He was really interested to see everything from the inside and I am really happy this happened.

Has he told you what he thought about it yet?

We’ll talk now. I think he’ll have a lot of interesting things to say(smiles).

Tell us about the goal you scored, they were looking for an offside, but how did it look to you?

It seemed to me that one of the Crvena players was closer to their goal, but it’s difficult to judge, I could see him in my peripheral vision, but no flag was raised, so there was no offside.

That’s one win over a team in red and white at the Gazprom Arena, and we are waiting for the next one. How are you feeling ahead of the last match of the year?

We are ready for a fight. It’s the last match and we haven’t dealt with the group yet. We’ll see what happens with tomorrow's match and then we need to win. This is the final match of the year, the final match in the group. There will be a serious battle.
