The school children brought gifts for each player and were really pleased to be able to hand them over personally, many of the gifts were made by the children themselves.

Also present was Maxim Bashkirtsev, a longtime fan of Zenit who was invited to training by the club and came to watch the team train with his father Sergei who told us; "Maxim really enjoyed the chance to meet the players, he knows everyone by name and watches every match. Maxim cannot walk, but he learned to play ball games while sitting on the floor. Maxim loves to play Boccia, a game, where you need to send the ball into the goal using your hands, he's even won prizes in city competitions. A few days ago Maxim was  13 years old and this was the best gift for him."
