The Russian national side invited seven (!) footballers from our club. Zenit played called up for national duty include Vyacheslav Malafeev, Alexander Anyukov, Konstantin Zyryanov, Vladimir Bystrov, Roman Shirokov, Igor Denisov, and Alexander Kerzhakov. Furthermore, Sergey Kolesnikov, a Zenit masseuse, has been called to the medical team of Russia`s national side. Russia will play two important away matches in the Euro-2012 qualification round against Ireland and Macedonia.
The Portuguese “selecao” has invited Danny and Bruno Alves. They will participate in their national side`s games against Denmark in Porto and Iceland in Reykjavik.
Earlier Nicolas Lombaerts, Danko Lazovic, Aleksandar Lukovic, and Yury Zhevnov were called to their national sides.
