Christian Noboa: "You can see Zenit are on the highest level"

The Ecuadorian midfielder spoke about his move to the blue-white-sky blues, life in Russia and training under Mancini.
On joining Zenit:

This has been great! Zenit are my fourth team in Russia, but for me the best of everything is here! It's impossible to explain it all, but it's simply the best! It's immediately evident that Zenit are on the highest level. Everything, the training base, the stadium, the coach. All are number one! It is evident that the club wants to win things consistently. We are faced with challenges in everything, the championship of Russia, and Europe League Cup - I love it!

My contract with Zenit is for three years. I will give all it my best try to play even better than I did at Rostov. I will work hard in training and try to play my best football.

On working with Mancini:

Every coach is different. I can't say who is better, who is worse. All coaches are different, but for me he's good! All managers can teach us something new and opens up football. Here and now I'm learning a lot from Mancini, it is very interesting!

About his new teammates:

I personally knew some of the Zenit players, Terentyev, I've known for a while and Mak, we played together for PAOK in Greece. I've now met the rest of the guys here in Austria. I can say that we quickly became friends and we've spoken a lot. I've joined the team and am getting on well. I can speak Russian, English, Spanish and a little Italian - it simplifies communication. I am a new guy at Zenit but I think things are going well.

About Russian people:

Everyone is very friendly, you are kind people! Fans are well versed in football and watch the games with interest. However, they support football quietly, without much fanaticism. Perhaps this is due to the fact that football is just developing here. It's different in Ecuador, there football is like a religion! Football is God! And people are playing differently than here. It seems to me, hockey is the main thing, right? (Laughs) But I can see that Russian people are also starting to really love football. And this makes me happy!
