9 facts about Zenit's new signing Emanuel Mammana

a:2:{s:4:"TEXT";s:1684:"1.  Emanuel Hernan Mammana was born on 10 February 1996 in a suburb of Buenos Aires, named Merlot. He had a difficult childhood and at aged 6 years, he lost his mother and at 15, he lost his father.

2. From the age of 8, Emanuel was playing football at River Plate's academy. Despite losing his parents he continued playing football thanks to the help of family and friends.

3. Emanuel has played for Argentina's U15's, U17's and U20's teams. As part of the U17's team with Sebastian Driussi he won the South American Championship. 

4. Emanuel has won 3 caps for Argentina, making his debut against Slovenia in 2014 when he replaced fellow River Plate star Javier Mascherano. 

5. Emanuel was then given the nickname "the heir to Mascherano". Emanuel has a number of similarities with the Barcelona player, both central defenders are 1.83 meters and play in a similar style, skilled defensive style. 

6. Emmanuel made his River Plate debut in October 2014 in the Argentine Cup and went on to win the trophy with fellow Zenit new boy Seb Driussi. 

7. In the summer of 2016, like all talented Argentinians, Emanuel went to play football overseas, moving to Lyon in France. 

8. While at Lyon, Emanuel played 24 matches and scored one goal scored.
