Stadium St. Petersburg is the fourth best attended stadium in European competition

We take a look at Stadium St. Petersburg's first year in action. 
Stadium St. Petersburg's current capacity is 56,196 people and we played our first games here in spring 2017. The first official football match in the history of the arena had 20,004 spectators in attendance and the second 30,673 (both reduced for testing purposes).

In the summer of 2017, Stadium St. Petersburg hosted four matches for the FIFA Confederations Cup and became the most attended arena during the whole tournament. 

Zenit have also become one of the most visited clubs in Europe. Stadium St. Petersburg has an average league attendance of 44,578 and comes 32nd across Europe, ahead of the likes of Porto, Chelsea, Lyon, Galatasaray, Juventus and Roma. 

In the UEFA Europa League, Zenit come fourth in the attendance rankings with an average of 44,965. Zenit are ranked just behind Arsenal, Red Star Belgrade and Koln. 

The next blue-white-sky blue home match will be held on 22 February 2018 against Scottish champions Celtic in the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League.
