Artem Dzyuba was born on 22 August 1988 in Moscow. He began his career at Spartak Moscow and in 2006 he made his debut for their first team. In 2009 he went on loan to  Tom Tomsk and Rostov. He joined Zenit on 1 July 2015. 

The striker played 102 official games for Zenit, scoring 39 goals and making 22 assists. While at Zenit, Artem won the Russian Cup and the Russian Super Cup twice.
