Anatoly Tymoshchuk took part in the opening of the new Anton is Nearby inclusive children's centre

Our charity partner Anton is Nearby opened a new inclusive children's centre on Vasilievsky Island on Saturday 20 March and the Zenit legend was there to celebrate the event

The new centre is a place for children with disabilities and other needs where they can be with their friends, learn together, prepare for school and make new friends and it's open every day. It is the first inclusive centre in St. Petersburg that will operate on a non-profit basis. Qualified staff will work with the children as will specialist teachers, speech therapists and the children will also have music, art and English lessons as well as sensory integration classes.46 children receive regular assistance as part of the project and 142 are already in the queue. 

The opening ceremony of the new centre was attended by adult students of the Anton Is Nearby Foundation, its founder Lyubov Arkus, families, employees, friends and trustees. 

Zenit coach and former captain Anatoly Tymoshchuk took part in the opening ceremony and handed over a specially made cake to celebrate the occasion from the club as well as a gift from Zenit of items and equipment for the centre's sports room.
