Malcom is the fifth Zenit player to win the Russian top flight’s goalscorer award, with the previous winners being Alexander Kerzhakov in 2004 with 18 goals, Hulk in 2014/15 with 15 goals, Sardar Azmoun in 2019/20 with 17 goals and Artem Dzyuba in both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, with 17 and 20 goals respectively.
