Arthur Victor Guimarães was born on 15 February 1998 in Fortaleza in the state of Ceará. He began his footballing journey at his local side Ceara and stayed with them until he moved to Palmeiras' academy at the age of 16.

Between 2017-2019 he went on a number of loan moves to Brazilian sides, before a permenant switch was made in January 2020 to Red Bull Bragantino. During his three seasons with the club he played 168 matches, scored 38 goals and made 32 assists. He also played alongside Zenit's own Claudinho, and it is believed this was a significant factor in the players' move to the RPL.

Artur returned to Palmeiras in March of last year, and was part of the team that won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A title in December of 2023. After rejoining the club Artur played 51 matches for the Sao Paulo team and scored 10 goals with two assists to his name.
