Welcome you to St. Petersburg and congratulations on your move to Zenit, how do you feel?
Good afternoon and thank you! I’m very happy to have signed a contract with Zenit, this is a big club and a big challenge, I want to have a enjoy my time here and stay for a long time.
When did you learn of Zenit’s interest in you and how long did you think about the move?
Everything happened quickly and I made a decision quickly. I’m very happy and will try to do a lot for the club.
You had a trial at Zenit back in the summer of 2018. What do you remember from that time?
I could have been a Zenit then, but it didn’t work out. I liked everything back then, this is a big club and everything about it is positive. I would like to show what I can do at the next training camp.
Did Sergei Semak say to you “see you in five years”?
He didn’t say that, but maybe “See you later”.
You know some of the Zenit players, who do you have the closest relationship with and did you speak to any of them before the move?
No, I didn’t consult with anyone, but I know the Russian players and we speak on international duty. I know Mostovoy, Sutormin and Krugovoy well.
What does this step in your career mean to you?
This is a big step and a serious challenge. I understand how big the club is and the value of its badge. I want to give my all here and get top results. I am sure that everyone who plays here only thinks about winning and goals. I understand where I have come, what the mentality is here and I want to play in the big games and get big wins.
There’s a lot of competition in your position, does that motivate you?
I can play on the right and on the left, not just in the middle and I’m ready to cover any positions. I will give my all whatever time the manager gives me on the pitch. I will try to grasp every opportunity.
What would you like to say to the Zenit fans?
Firstly, hello everyone! I promise you that I will give my all for the club and I hope my skills will make the fans happy and, of course, get big victories, in the league and in the cup.
