Denis Adamov: "Everyone is as focused on the game as much as possible"

Saturday will be one of the most important matches of the season, is there much pressure ahead of Saturday's game?

We know how important this game is, I can’t say that there is any pressure, we are getting ready and everyone is as focused on the game as much as possible.

You’re a graduate of the Krasnodar academy, is their competition between you and Matvey Safonov?

I can’t say anything specific about Matvey Safonov or the Krasnodar team itself. I was there a long time and became an adult and a player there.

Returning to the subject of Matvey Safonov, are you friends, do you speak on the phone?

To be honest, no. We only chat when we meet, when there are matches between our teams. We don’t talk much in our free time.

Zenit have had a busy week, two away matches and then a home game. Have you had time to recover and prepare for the next match?

Yes, now we had a little more time to prepare, the coaching staff gave us a day off and we had a rest. Everyone was happy about this and got to spend time with their family. We’ve had four days to prepare for the match and that’s fine. Everyone is ready.
