Davai Davai! Kokorin sold donuts for charity
The Russian and Zenit forward became the latest hero in the joint charity project between Zenit and Rusfond. Together we've almost got all the required donations to pay for the medical bills of seven-year-old Matvei Orlov.
So to celebrate (almost) reaching our target Kokorin headed to the city centre and worked a shift selling donuts and served scores of customers at the donut stall.
"Everything was good, thank you to my colleague, who quickly dealt with all the customers while I did my best with the donuts" said Kokorin. - "It's better to work in a pair, I know that from playing at Zenit. The club has been working with Rusfond for some time on charity projects, so I was pleased to accept the invitation to take part in the project."
The charity project is a joint initiative of Zenit and Rusfond and was launched in 2015. So far Hulk ahs sung and danced on Nevsky Prospekt, Danny worked as a hairdresser, Yuri Lodygin was a guide at the Hermitage, Dzyuba, worked a shift as a tram conductor, Criscito, was a circus artist and Mauricio tried his hand as a taxi driver.
The total amount of money raised by the club is so far in excess of 15 million rubles ($240,000).
