Zenit 14 -1 Sohar U21s. A big win in Dubai for the blue-white-sky blues

On 17 January the blue-white-sky blues took on Oman's Sohar SC U21s as part of the Gazprom Training Camp.

Egor Baburin, Sergei Zuykov, Luis Neto (captain), Vukasin Jovanovic, Yevgeny Chernov, Leon Musaev, Ibrahim Tsallagov, Pavel Mogilevets, Yohan Mollo, Robert Mak, Luka Djordjevic. 

In the fourth minute of the match Sohar managed to create the first scoring chance but Egor Baburin was able to prevent a one-on-one by closing the distance and making a smart save. Zenit immediately counter-attacked and Luka Djordjevic just failed to open the scoring by pushing the ball wide. 

The blue-white-sky blues continued to pile pressure on the opposition and after 9 minutes Tsallagov opened the scoring with a shot from outside the box to make it 1-0. Two minutes later Zenit doubled the advantage, Chernov, on the wing, gave the ball to Mak who put in Djordjevic for 2-0. The Slovak could have made it 3-0 himself but his shot sailed over the bar. 

With 15 minutes played, Chernov made his first of two assistants, an excellent pass to Pavel Mogilevtsev allowed him to make it 3-0 and on 28 minutes Robert Mak had a one-on-one with the goalkeeper for 4: 0. 

Three minutes later Luka Djordjevic scored again from a Mollo cross at the far post and Musaev assisted the Djordjevic for his brace a few minutes later and on 37 minutes the Montenegrian had his hat-trick and Zenit led at half-time 7-0.

Zenit went out for the second half with Egor Baburin, Sergei Zuykov, Domenico Criscito (captain), Leon Musaev, Yevgeny Chernov, Hernani, Robert Mak, Danny, Ibrahim Tsallagov Daniel Lesovoy, Alexander Kokorin. Mikhail Kerzhakov also joined the game, but in goal for the Omani team. 

Zuykov scored 4 minutes from kick-off and ten minutes later Aleksandr Kokorin got his first and soon his second, Hernani setting up the two for the Russian forward and the score was now 10-0. After 62 minutes, there was an unusual substitution of goalkeepers, with Egor Baburin and Mikhail Kerzhakov changing ends and teams. 

On the 66 and 68th minute, Kokorin and Mak exchanged assists and Kokorin completed his hat-trick, making the score 12-0. Four minutes later, Sergei Zuykov had a one-on-one with Baburin and scored his second. Before the final whistle, the opponent managed to pull one back but Danny put an end to any doubt, making it 14-1 at the final whistle.
