Danny: "We must be matadors on the pitch and eat alive the Spartak players!"

The blue-white-sky blue captain spoke with Chempionat.com about the match in Moscow.
The match build-up:

I do not think Spartak are favorites for the game, even though they are in first place in the league. We will continue to fight for the win and do everything to beat Spartak.

About the battle on the field:

Yes, it will be a battle for us. Spartak are our big rivals and the game itself is very important in terms of the fight for the title. Again, we must try by all means to win the three points.

Personal battle and the injury from the clash with Promes:

I have no hard feelings for Promes. Incidentally, we have already discussed it with him and such situations occur from time to time in football, it is a common thing. Of course, Promes did not want to hurt me specifically. Actually, I've also never tried to injure an opponent. I think only about the game and about nothing else.

About Lombaerts suspension:

I won't talk about the mistake, it happens in the game. I passed it back and it was short and unfortunately, the Anzhi player managed to intercept the ball. I've spoken with Lombaerts and everything is fine. Again, I do not call that a pass a mistake. When I score a goal, we don't speak about someone else's mistake. Of course, for him to miss the game with Spartak is difficult for him. But suspension is part of football. Hopefully Lombaerts will still be able to help the team to finish the season.

What to say in the locker room:

I will say these words and I always say them, on Sunday we have to be strong, to give our maximum and win. We must be on matadors on the pitch and eat alive the Spartak players!
