Zenit’s stewarding service is responsible both for the safety of the club representatives (the team and personnel), as well as of the fans of the blue-white-sky blues.
The fans’ comfort at matches is top priority. Zenit are the first club in Russia which has stopped the practice of using special police forces within the stadium, and is the first club to have created its own stewarding service, made up of people who are happy to help you find your seat in the stands and do their best so that nothing will disturb you watching the match. Thanks to this system Zenit has managed to make it as comfortable as possible to watch matches from the stands of the Petrovsky, installing plexi-glass instead of fencing between sectors. The club’s stewarding service works at Zenit’s away matches too, in every city Zenit fans know they will be given help if they need it. Trust and understanding of responsibilities for one another is a major principle of the work of Zenit’s stewarding service and the club department for fan relations. The importance of this contact shows that Zenit really is a big club.
