The goals came from Sardar Azmoun (24' & 61'), Artem Dzyuba (32 pen, 72' and 89') and substitute Alexey Sutormin (91').

The win keeps Zenit top of the Russian Premier Liga on 20 points after 9 games, ahead of second-place Spartak Moscow on goal difference, both sides face each other on Saturday 3 October in Moscow.
