Sergei Semak and Vladislav Radimov's teams played a friendly at the stadium as part of the day's training.
The first team and Zenit-2 trained at the Gazprom Arena
The match ended 5-4 to the first team with the goals coming from Alexander Erokhin, Stanislav Krapukhin, Daniil Shamkin and two from Kirill Kravtsov. Alexander Elovskikh, Ilya Vakhania, Nikita Koldunov and Nikita Simdyankin scored the goals for Vladislav Radimov's Zenit-2 team.

Sergey Semak:

It's good that Zenit-2 and us had the chance to have this training session and the friendly match. This gave us the chance to look at our reserve players and see what state they're in. We now have the long international break and Zenit-2 will resume their league season too. Regarding physical fitness, this was an important stage in the training and the guys were pleased to play against each other and some of the young players played for the first team. And it was great for the coaching staff to take a look at the younger players.

Vladislav Radimov:

We've a week before the start of the PFL season and we needed some match practice. Many of the first team players are away on international duty so we had a joint training session and used the Gazprom Arena as the conditions are ideal for training. It was very useful for our players to play the first team, to feel what speed the game is played at and to understand the levels they need to be at. We have a very good relationship with Sergei Semak and Andrei Arshavin, and we are in constant contact, so it was not difficult to make this happen. I think this training session was beneficial for both teams.
