Daniil Shamkin was born on 22 June 2002 in St. Petersburg and made his way through the Gazprom Academy before becoming Zenit-2's youngest-ever debutant in 2019 and the youngest ever goalscorer in the FNL.

Daniil Shamkin made his debut for the blue-white-sky blue's first team in March 2020 and has made a total of nine appearances for Sergei Semak's side while being part of two title-winning squads.
