Dogs are Better at Home! The latest community project from Zenit

World Pet Day is celebrated annually on 30 November and the Zenit have joined forces with the Russian Kynological Foundation http://rkf.org.ru/ to launch our new community project, Dogs are better at home! The aim of the project is to highlight to the public the responsibility and care required when having a pet and to help raise funds for local dog shelters.

Some of the local shelters involved are Rzhevka, Friend, Vsevolozhsky Dog, HelpDog SPB - Help for Pitbulls and Staffs, and Husky Help.

Just before kick off at the Gazprom Arena the Zenit starting XI is announced on the stadium’s video screen, however this time the players will be shown alongside pictures and profiles of real dogs looking for a home. Fans can get involved with Dogs Are Better At Home at the Gazprom Arena by heading to the information area opposite sector B109 and there our supporters can find out how to adopt a dog from one of the local shelters. More information is also available online at sobakadlyadushi.rkf.org.ru/about-dogs.

*The Russian Kynological Foundation is the largest non-profit organization in Russia that brings together 5.5 million dog breeders from across Russia. The Federation aims to help preserve breed diversity and oversee responsible dog breeding.
