The players, staff and club representatives attended the event on 10 May to mark 78 years since the end of the Great Patriotic War.

Every year the Zenit players attend the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery, which is the permanent resting place of victims of the blockade and the soldiers of the Leningrad Front. It is estimated that between 470 to 520 thousand people are buried here.

The club visit was led by Mikhail Kerzhakov and Douglas Santos and included first team players, those from Zenit-2, Zenit women, Zenit U21s and the players from the Gazprom Academy, as well as Zenit management.
