Zenit and Krasnodar have agreed a deal for the transfer of Ilzat Akhmetov

The player has signed a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season with the option of a further season.

Ilzat Akhmetov was born on 31 December 1997 in Bishkek and began his playing days in Kyrgyzstan, before moving to the Konoplev Academy, and later Rubin Kazan, where he played 34 matches for the and made 3 assists.

He joined CSKA Moscow in 2018 and played 104 matches, scored 7 goals, made 11 assists for the Army Men. He was also named best young player in Russia in 2018. In July 2022 he made the move to Krasnodar and played 61 times, scored 7 goals and made 8 assists before his move to St. Petersburg.

He made his international debut for Russia in March 2019 and has 19 caps to him name.
