The roof of the Krestovsky stadium is now being assembled

A transparent film with a special coating which allows light to pass through, keep the warmth in and protect the players and fans from rain.
The film, which will cover the arena, was developed in the 1970s and has been used in aviation and aerospace, and later began to be used instead of architectural glass. A similar coating is used at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena in Germany, at the Beijing swimming complex used at the Olympics and many other famous sites.

It is reported that in the assembled form of the film is resistant to strong winds, changes in temperature, precipitation and is designed to hold 4 tons per square meter. The installation of the film will be completed before the onset of winter and the cold weather.
