Thank you and congratulations to you too! It all worked out for us just the way we wanted. We scored some quick goals, and a lot of them! I guess that's why it got a bit easier for us, Spartak opened up more and we got to them. The game went completely as we planned. I want to congratulate everyone on the win and I also want us to keep scoring a lot of goals and take every chance in the future.

Were you upset that the Moscow team scored one?

Yes, we were. We always try to keep a clean sheet and it's been hard to do that lately. So we need to keep that in mind, but Spartak Moscow weren’t born yesterday. We did let them score and these things do happen. We’ll look into the goal and we’ll do our best not to allow such mistakes anymore.

What is the reason of the thrashing of Spartak Moscow? It feels like there was a dramatic difference class.

We were really determined. Our last three games have ended in defeat, so we agreed that we definitely had to win this one and to play to win. We are happy that it turned out the way it did, it was an outstanding game with lots of goals. I guess we were up for it and gave our all on the pitch.

As a real Zenit supporter, you must be glad to take part in the biggest ever league defeat Spartak Moscow have experienced?

Of course! This is history and will be listed forever, so I am very glad. You see, it’s nice to beat any team, but Spartak Moscow is a whole different story for St. Petersburg and our fans. This victory is for the fans! 

Did you keep scoring goals because you wanted to make up for the previous matches?

Yes, we did and we tried to do our best to use every opportunity we had. Our attackers did a great job. I'm proud of them!
