Marcilio Florencio Mota Filho, also known as Nino, was born 10 April 1997 in Recife and began his football career at Criciúma in Brazil's Serie B, before a move to Rio de Janeiro's Fluminense in 2019.

The central defender originally joined the club on loan, but the switch quickly became permanent, and he went on to make over 200 appearances for the club, as well as scoring 12 goals and making 5 assists for the Rio outfit. As club captain he led the side to the Copa Libertadores in 2023 beating Boca Juniors in the final.

He was part of the Brazilian Olympic team that won gold at the Tokyo Olympics, playing alongside Zenit stars Malcom and Claudinho.

In November 2023 he won his first full cap for his country and in December was part of the Fluminense side that finished runners-up to Manchester City in the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Welcome to St. Petersburg Nino!
