Biography

Igor was born on 3 April 1973 in Moscow and began his playing career at Dynamo Moscow, where he played over 100 games and in 1994 was the country's top goalscorer with 21 goals in 28 games. After topping the Russian scoring charts a move to Italy followed, Igor signed for Reggiana and stayed with the club for four years, scoring 20 goals. A short spell at Bologna followed and then a transfer to Spain's Tenerife where he played for three seasons. A spell in the MLS and a return to Russia with Rubin Kazan saw Igor end his playing career in 2006. Igor also scored 9 goals and won 20 caps for Russia. Igor began working at the Zenit Academy in 2009 and has taken on a first team coaching role under Roberto Mancini after successfully leading the Zenit U19 side.
