The Zenit-Y starting lineup underwent changes before the match in Kazan, with Maxim Batov and Alexey Panfilov getting their first-ever starts for the youth team.
The new blood wasn’t enough however, as Zenit-Y lost to Rubin-Y for the second time this year, following a 0:2 home loss in July to the Kazan side.
