Aleksei Sutormin was born on 10 January 1994 in Moscow. In 2010, he joined Zenit’s Gazprom Academy and in April 2012 he made his debut for Zenit’s U19s.
Sutormin went on to play professionally for FC Strogino Moscow, Volgar Astrakhan, Orenburg and Rubin Kazan. In the 2018/19 Sutormin played 29 matches in the Russian Premier Liga, scored 8 goals and made two for Orenburg as they finished seventh.
He represented Russia in the Commonwealth Cup in 2016 and went on to take a winners medal, playing 4 matches in the tournament and scoring a goal in the final.
Aleksei Sutormin is a versatile player able to operate on both flanks and is known for his quality in counterattacking, dribbling, direct play and passing.
