Training in silence

Zenit began its morning practice on Tuesday with a minute of silence for the victims of the terrorist attack that occurred last night at Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.

Before the traditional analysis of the previous day`s match, which every practice after a match starts with, Luciano Spalletti gathered his players together and announced a minute of silence in memory of those who died in yesterday`s terrorist attack in Domodedovo Airport. This trahendy This tragedy has an indirect effect on Zenit»: the footballers, who returned from their match with Persepolis and saw the news, called their loved ones and friends until late in the night who could have been close to the tragedy to make sure they were all right.

After a minute of silence Zenit started working: stretching and running exercises in the sand and on the hills around the beach. That said, yesterday`s tragedy and the physical exhaustion that the players felt after ten straight days of practice had their effect: there were none of the jokes and laughter that the players are used to.

Zenit`s coaching staff decided to cancel today`s evening practice, giving the footballers a short rest the day before the final of the MatchWorldCup on Wednesday at 18:30 St. Petersburg time.
