I am very happy that Russia U21s will be at the Euro Champs. The qualifying group was very difficult, but the last few matches made everyone happy.

It is nice that our guys will be at the finals against the top teams in their age category. The higher the competition, the better for our football and our young players. The Euros will allow them to better understand what level they are at and where they need to get to. I am also very happy for the coaches who reached their goal and got to the important finals. Congratulations to everyone, especially as it was not easy. Now we will support our team in the final stage.

What are the chances for Russia’s U21s at the Euros? It is difficult to say now. The main thing is to observe them and to assess and compare them with the best international teams, including their individual skills in this age category. Getting to the European Championships is always a pleasure and personally, I am pleased for our defender Danil Krugovoy. For him, as for all the guys, this is a very good opportunity to show what they can do.
