Zenit’s young lions will hold their winter training at the Sepahan Academy in Iran, and will play a number of friendly matches while there.

The general directors of Zenit and Sepahan, Alexander Medvedev and Mohammad Reza Saket signed an agreement on the both club's collaboration earlier this year in April.

The clubs have also agreed on holding coaching courses in St. Petersburg and Iran, as well as working together in order to help young footballers advance and hosting friendly matches. The memorandum was signed for two years with the option of an extension.

Sepahan are five-time champions of Iran and four-time national Cup winners. They are the only club in the history of Iran that was able to reach to the AFC Champions League final and the only Iranian club that took part in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2007.
